PREVIEW - REBEKAH & CLAIRE

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY

LOWER BARNS, CORNWALL

REBEKAH & CLAIRE

As I have said many times before, as a proud Cornishment living in Devon, I do love an opportunity to get back to Kernow for work. So I was absolutely thrilled when Rebekah and Claire from the Midlands contacted me about their wedding in Cornwall. They had decided to book the fabulous Lower Barns for their wedding. I had the pleasure of attending the marriage of one of my best friends at Lower Barns a couple of years ago, and I instantly fell in love with the place. Needless to say, I was therefore very keen to assist Rebekah and Claire on their special day.

The day began with preparations at Lower Barns. I arrived at approximately 10am to find the wedding party chilling out in hot tubs. This was a sign of things to come. It was quite possibly the most laid back wedding I have ever had the pleasure of documenting. Lower Barns has so much to offer and as they had exclusive use, they had it all to themselves. The group made me feel instantly welcome and part of their gang. A nicer group of people you could not possibly meet.

The ceremony took place outside one of the shacks. A small, intimate wedding ceremony with some beautiful vows. After the ceremony, confetti was thrown, followed by an impromptu ‘first dance’. After a few drinks and canapés, the group sat down for their meal. They went round the table with pretty much everyone saying a few words. You could literally feel the emotion in the room. After speeches, myself and the Photographer, Lee Maxwell, jumped in the car with Rebekah and Claire and headed down to the nearby beach. What a treat that was. By this time it was golden hour, which gave us the perfect opportunity to get some stunning shots of the couple together. As far as wedding films go, couple shots are probably the most important part. Rebekah and Claire were fantastic. Perfectly following our only real instruction - just be yourselves. As the sun finally went down, we headed back to Lower Barns and continued to document some of the evening celebrations. Drinks, dancing, laughter, and some sparklers to finish off.

All in all it was a fabulous day spent with an amazing group of people.

Here’s a short preview of the day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed producing it!
